How does the 5% booking fee work?
In addition to the annual membership cost, vendors are charged a small 5% fee ($20 minimum) on events booked through The Bash. This means we earn more when you book more events, so we do everything possible to ensure you get booked and are successful on The Bash.
If a client finds you through The Bash, you are required to confirm the booking through our site and pay the 5% booking fee. Not only is this part of our user agreement, but it also highly benefits our members. The more you book on The Bash, the higher you’ll rank in search results, the more reviews you’ll earn, and the more future business you’ll receive. If you’re opted in to our free online payment system, EventPay, you can choose to have the 5% fee come directly from the client’s deposit, otherwise your payment method on file will be charged.
How do I get paid for bookings on The Bash?
The Bash offers a secure online payment system called EventPay that allows U.S. vendors to receive online deposit and balance payments from clients, sent directly to your bank account in as fast as 2 business days. It's completely free for vendors to use and makes getting paid quick and easy. EventPay makes it easy to:
- Set your own payment terms: Customize the deposit and balance amounts, due dates, and terms for each booking. If enrolled, you can request a deposit due at the time of booking, which is strongly recommended.
- Receive payments securely: EventPay is powered by Stripe to ensure your payments are processed securely to your bank account. We never hold your funds.
- Manage your payments: You're in control of collecting payments. While we don’t automatically bill clients, we're happy to help send payment reminders upon request.
